Anybody staying at the light + building in Frankfurt could already see it in full function: The precious iPad, running the KNX-Visualisation of eibPort. The new softwareversion of eibPort serves this function and was also optical adapted to the Apple-Design and the operating philosophy of these multi-touch. For example eibPort brings out windows with slide-effect, pulling out windows by moving your finger over the touch display.
New: astro timer

The astro timer job in eibPort features a normal and -for advance learners- an complex interface. As data types for the output EIS 1, EIS 5, EIS 6 , EIS 14 and EIS 15 is available.
Sunrise– and sunset time also as the real circuit time can be displayed in the visualisation.
The delay of the output can be randomized. An ideal presence simulation.
New: UPnPControl Point reviewed

The number of UPnP-AV compliant devices in the market has highly increased. This has moved us to revise our UPnP agent. Through the uniform topography and the colour layout a clear structure was achieved, which made it easy to operate and give the user an intuitive understanding. Great importance was laid to the best presentation in different resolution and screen sizes. The UPnP agent as a Java program is operating system independent. New: Room Allocation Plan

The Room Allocation Plan modul is a tool to show and control the state of rooms in a graphical way.
A scenario for using such a module are buildings wich have a recurring conceptual design of their rooms. A good example are schools, meeting rooms or hotels.
The module is a part of the Editors of eibPort from firmware version 0.9.5. All settings are made by a own configuration screen. After successful configuration eibPort calculates all necessary time set points for the defined period in advance. To enable the calculation of switching times a license for the Room Allocation Plan module must be loaded into eibPort.
New: the new editor

The visualization editor has been completely revised. Now "opulent" visualizations in a shorter time can be realized. New features like for example master pages, direct simulation and direct upload of images save time. With new features like scalable graphics, scalable transparency, mirror-and transition effects, color filters, etc. you can get even more out of each visualization.
New elements were added to the library and finally the http request also managed to keep feeding.
Mobile clients like e.g.the iPhone can now be connected to eibPort directly. The loop way over a MySQL database (from 2007) is fallen upon. Therefore the connection between your mobile and KNX equipment ist much more easier and become clear. In a few steps a HIC project is generated in the editor, store it, switch on mobile and type in the URL of eibPort. That’s it! On your smartphone/PDA you see your camera pricture stream, your KNX components or your audio multiroom administration
The JOB XPL-sender has been updated and were extended with essential functions. This makes it even easier and more comfortable, to include the Logitech Squeezebox players in a multi-room concept.
With SB-Control, it is possible to establish a multi-room solution with several MP3 streaming clients that is controlled via KNX sensors.
SB-Control is a job for remote control of Logitech Squeezeboxes and the central music server software SqueezeCenter. Management is made is via KNX-button, room control units, KNX panels or visualization eibPort and thereby even with your mobile. With SB-Control it is possible e.g. to control on-off or mute, to control up or down of volume, to navigate in the titles of the playlists or to selected playlists. The playlists are managed dynamically. Once you add playlists in the SqueezeCenter it is shown in the displays of KNX.
This internet portal collects, analyses and documents your energy data. The data is sent from eibPort via e-mail to this server. No separate software is needed for analysing. With your standard internet-browser you can check week-, month– and year reports in a server generated image. By request, a backup of your data can be sent by e-mail to your address every week. The Touch Panel for wall mount is quick assembled, offers a compact design and performance ( 4 GB Flash, fanless, Win XPe) and looked like a flat panel TV ( 6 cm depth). Fits best to your environment. Together with the HomeInformationCenter and eibPort they are the central information point of you building. With a cost free Software you create your own look and feel and bring your favourite links.
Check weather, traffic jam and your e-mails by a cup of coffee in the morning, look for you cooking receipt at noon, or call the cinema or TV-program in the evening.

New: HomeInformationTerminal

The HomeInformationTerminal is a program which is developed for Touch Panels, Tablet PC or Ultra mobile PC. It's very easy to build up an own user interface. With pre defined elements the customer has the opportunity to use several services like browsing websites (weather, traffic, TV-guide etc.), using home automation, manage multiroom clients (UPnP), looking to camera streams, check the e-mails with an own e-mail client and look on RRS-feeds.
The navigation bar can be completely configured to fit your demands. Starting with the position of the navigation bar, the font style, the color shema and the selection of the images. Everything can be changed within a few mouse clicks and a very short time.
Content of web sites can be stored in the background. So you have all your information with a finger tip at once, without waiting.
eibPort is now available with a new Motherboard equipped with 64/64 MB RAM/ROM. Now even larger Projects with moresophisticated graphic designs are possible. The new ethernet controller allows datatransfer up to 100 MBit/s in the LAN. This leads in evidence to significant time saving, loading (for e.g.) the visualisation. Integration of Web- Start shortens the load time further on. All in all, load time is much reduced.
The KNXeasy gateway converts the KNXnet/IP protocol into a simple ASCII protocol. Thereby, you can develop software linked to EIB without using the KNXnet/IP protocol. To configure the gateway for your EIB installation, you just have to export the required data out of your ETS project.
With RSS Feeds, you always have the latest news in your visualization. Just type in the RSS-path of a news-webpage and your visualization keeps you up to date.
The HomeInformationCenter iPhone takes the functionality of the EIB to the iPhone from Apple. You can switch the light, regulate the heating, drive the Venetian blinds and also steer the multimedia account with the HIC iPhone. More information.
