The intelligent gateway
eibNode is the intelligent link between the EIB and the ethernet. The gateway couples several EIB lines via ethernet and provides large control functions. Thank fast backbone and ethernet with 10 mbit/s there is no data jam any more. eibNode can be integrated into existing facilities without great work. Because of an amount of special features eibNode can be set up as a system coupler everywhere in the classic EIB topology. Even above area couplers and between area and line couplers. Thereby programming across lines with the standard ETS is possible.
eibNode is the intelligent, decentral and flexible solution for great EIB facilities - also in connection to OPC.
Performance features
 | coupling of several EIB lines with 10 mbit/s (fast backbone)
|
 | send up to 10.000 telegrams per second on the ethernet
|
 | the gateway permanently saves the state of all the 65.000 EIB addresses. The initialisation of the EIB is not necessary.
|
 | filter tables can be created |
Control functions
 | eibNode provides large logic and time functions - additional function components are not needed.
|
 | clock timer (weak and year timer including special days)
|
 | light scenes
|
 | binary logic (and, or, nand, nor ...), delay elements, stairway light function... |
The decentral outsourcing of the control functions guarantees the EIB facility working without central management.
Flexible integration
Several EIB facilities at one location can be connected via LAN. Each eibNode has a NetID (IP-address+subnetmask+UDP message handler). The NetID seperates different EIB facilities. Areas with the same group addresses and the same physical addresses can communicate in the same network.
data recording
eibNode can record up to 30.000 telegrams in a circular buffer. The recorded data can be used for error analysis of an EIB facility. The data can be exported to programs like Microsoft Excel to e.g. diagram the data in charts.
The device permanently saves the state of all the 32.766 EIB addresses as well as the 32.768 virtual addresses including time stamps.
Interfaces
Active x component: a group of technologies that allows software components to communicate with each other in one network not regarding the different programming languages.
LabView: connection to LabView using a dlf file (dynamic link library) from M.E: Elektronik Innovativ.
NetxEIB: connection to the NetxEIB software from NETxAutomation.
NETx Open OPC: opc server software. opc server and client can run on the same pc. Very stable in combination with eibNode; multi-redundant. The software controls cyclical all connected eibNodes. Because a memory map of the facility is in each eibNode the server can shut down. The facility will still be controlled. And a complex initialisation when the software restarts is not necessary.
Harware features
 | No fan (no noise)
|
 | power consumption less > 5W
|
 | the gateway is designed for fitting into standard installation racks
|
 | the RJ45-connector for the LAN connection is on the bottom side of the component
|
 | the connector for the EIB bus is on the top right of the component
|
 | the power supply connector (10-30V DC) is on the top left of the component
|
 | bus access works with TP-UART |
